Kingsbury Library Visit

During October, some students from Years 7 and 8 visited Kingsbury Library to meet the poet, author and musician Jared Louche. Jared has had a very varied career and is an extremely charismatic and entertaining character who transcends and challenges stereotyping. He is passionate about the value of reading and writing and how this turned his life around. He inspired the students to ask countless questions about his life and his ideas. He performed a long narrative poem that got everyone thinking and then everyone wrote a poem together.  Sadly, the time was up, all too soon.

The students were thoroughly engaged throughout the sessions and we hope that Jared will be able to come into Woodfield someday soon, to inspire all of our students.
