Homework

The is published each term. The Spring Term timetable will shortly be available. This year, homework will also be available to download from the Homework Page in the Students section. If you are unsure of your child's teacher for any subject, refer to your child's Target Booklet (given to you on Target Setting Day or mailed out shortly afterwards).

Pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4 are given homework each week in these four subjects: English, Maths, Science and Humanities. Homework in other subject areas may be given. Please refer to homework policy for full details.

In the Sixth Form, learners are given homework in three areas: English, Maths and Social Communication. This homework is accessible via DB primary. All learner’s usernames and passwords have been sent home. Learners are expected demonstrate independence, organisation and responsibility by: logging in; completing homework on time; contacting the appropriate staff if there are any difficulties. Parents are expected to sign homework and comment on their child’s ability to independently complete the work set.

If your child has completed their homework and is looking for some extra activities, don't forget that there are hundreds of activities available to your child through the Woodfield MLE, DBPrimary. You child can log on to DBPrimary, and access educational activities for all curriculum areas from Purple Mash, Espresso and IXL Maths. If you would like to know your child's account details so as to help them with homework and extra practice, please contact the school. Links to all these resources are available through most DBPrimary communities. Maths is illustrated below.

Access to Purple Mash and Espresso must be done through DBPrimary. IXL Maths can be accessed directly from the IXL homepage by entering your childs username and password. Again, if you have any questions or problems, please contact the school for assistance.
