This group is composed of two female entrepreneurs living in the same neighborhood. Mame Asta, the group’s representative, is on the right in the photo wearing a light-colored outfit. She is married and has six children, five of whom are in school. She grows poultry at home. With her loan, she plans to buy 200 chicks for 98,000 West African francs, vaccines for 8000 francs, and 12 bags of fodder for 180,000 francs. She is satisfied with her business’ profitability. She uses her revenues to provide for her personal needs and the needs of her small family. She also helps her husband with household expenses.
