Latest Covid-19 update

Dear parents and families,

Hoping you are all OK and keeping safe.

The Village and Woodfield Schools remain closed. We know that this is very hard for you all. However, we do not have the staff or equipment which we need to remain open. Significant numbers of children and staff are needing to self – isolate.

During the next few weeks we are organising it so that you will be contacted once per week by phone by your child's class teacher/ form tutor. When they call you it will come up as ‘no caller ID’ (this is because we are not permitted for you to have the mobile numbers of teachers.) You may also be receiving communications from therapists with advice and guidance.

They are calling to see how you are doing and offer advice. They will also be able to give you some ideas about online sites which might be helpful or other activities and strategies you can use whilst your child is at home.

We are working with the local authority to look at ways in which very vulnerable children and  those children of key workers can be supported better, this may mean some very limited provision, but this will only be for a very few children and be subject to a very full risk assessment.

In addition, those children who are eligible for free schools meals will be receiving voucher subsidies and if that applies to your child you will receive a communication for the trust about that shortly.

We will be in contact with you every week and if there any changes or updates I will let you know as soon as possible.

On behalf of the schools and the trust we are wishing you well and to keep safe.

Kindest regards from Kay Charles, Nick Cooper and Russell Davey
