Duke of Edinburgh group at Animal Shelter

Duke of Edinburgh group volunteered at the National Animal Welfare Trusts Animal Shelter on Thursday 27th November & Monday 1st December, 2014.

On Thursday 27th of November and Monday 1st of December 12 DofE pupils went and volunteered at the National Animal Trust Shelter. All pupils had a great time on the Thursday helping get the stalls ready for the shelter’s Annual Christmas Fair which was on the 30th of November. They set up a book stall as well as bric-a-brac stall. For all their hard work the pupils were able to take a book home as well as something from the bric-a-brac stall.

On the Monday we went back to clean up after the fair, putting away all the unsold items and packing away the marquees. After all the work was done the pupils got to go and visit some of the dogs and rabbits that live at the shelter.
