Mad Hatter's Tea Party
Great fun was had by all at the 87th Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Everybody turned up punctually at school just after midday and were taken in the school minibuses to a very posh hotel in central London. We were met at the door by army cadets and Pearly Kings and Queens who gave us a very warm welcome.
We went straight to our tables were there was lots of delicious things to eat. After eating our fill we went exploring to see what was on offer and we were not disappointed. We met characters from star wars, pirates with parrots and all our favourite fairy tale heroes and heroines.
We were entertained by the Batman band, the Cheeky Girls and Stavros Flatly doing a wonderful Michael Jackson impersonation. As if that wasn’t enough there was lots of celebrity spotting as well. We saw Leo from Waterloo Rd and some of the old cast from EastEnders. Vicki who was an ”I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here“ finalist was signing autographs as well.
There was also face painting, trying out police motor bikes, tattoos and games. To top it all there was trip to the grotto at the end and great presents were given out. Then back to school very tired but happy and already talking about next year’s trip.
Once again a massive thank you to the wonderful folks at the London Taxi Drivers' Fund for Underprivileged Children. It's one of the highlights of the Woodfield year!
